Distance of this ancient temple is 12 km West from Tirupati and is one of the most visited temples in Tirupati, next to Tirumala. From the town of Chandragiri, Srinivasa Mangapuram is just 3 km. Men and women who are not getting suitable bride\/bridegroom and undue delay in marriage visit this holy temple for fulfilling their wish. Such people will offer their prayers after getting wedded in this temple. Newlywed couple would first visit Srinivasa Mangapuram before going to Tirumala. This ancient temple is the place where Lord Vishnu along with his wife stayed for six months after wedding.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Kalyana_Venkateshwaraswamy_Temple_Origin\"><\/span>Kalyana Venkateshwaraswamy Temple Origin<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exact origin of Srinivasa Mangapuram is not known. It is supposed to be constructed in 1540 CE, as per the belief of many devotees. Initially this temple was ruined by the invasion of Sultans. Some of the inscriptions inside the temple indicate that Chinna Tirumala Acharya refurbished this temple to its current position. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He is supposed to be grandson of the legendary poet and Saint Annamacharya. After renovation, the temple was managed by the descendants of Tallapaka Chinna Tirumala for many years. Also, this idol is more attractive than the deity at Tirumala, since Lord is in Kalyana Thirukkolam (newlywed). Devotees who are not able to go to Tirumala can offer their prayers at this temple. It is believed that Lord Venkatewara along with his wife Padmavathi visited the great Sage Agasthya ashram near Swarnamukhi river banks in Chandragiri hills.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is also said they stayed here for 6 months before the Lord entered into Tirumala hills.
